If you are in need of medical attention, the Emergency Room in any public hospital must give you care, even if you are undocumented and/or do not have insurance. You can ask for an interpreter if the hospital does not provide you with one.

You can call the police if you or your children are in danger. If the officer asks about your immigration status or where you were born, you have the right not to answer.
