WISE is a non-profit organization which has been serving the needs of the Upper Valley for almost forty years. WISE provides advocacy, crisis services, and community education to those affected by domestic and sexual violence and stalking throughout the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. All WISE services are free and confidential.
Violence against women, men and children is a community and societal issue affecting all of us who live and work in the Upper Valley. WISE Crisis Intervention and Support Services Programs provide a continuum of services and supports for victims/survivors and their children with the goal of making the Upper Valley a safer place for families to live. The WISE Community Education and Outreach Program sheds light on these issues by dispelling myths, raising community understanding, working with local-area service providers to increase their knowledge and skill-level regarding the needs of clients impacted by domestic/sexual violence, and educating middle and high school-aged youth about healthy relationships using a range of model violence-prevention curricula.
WISE believes in empowerment. All of our services are offered with the understanding that only the victim/survivor can be the expert on their life. WISE provides information, support, resources and education so that clients can make the best choices possible to become safe and self reliant.
WISE serves 15 towns in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont.
