WISE clients and their families often need items to help them cover the daily necessities of life.  WISE gratefully accepts donations of new items from the list below to keep our closet and Safe House stocked and our clients supplied.

Suggestions of items for the WISE Closet:

  • Gift cards (grocery, phone, gas, department store, etc)
  • Non-perishable food (instant meals, canned, dried, etc)
  • Full sized, new toiletry items (hair products, deodorant, feminine products, lotion, diapers, toothpaste & brushes)
  • Household items (paper products, detergent, towels, etc)
  • Organizing Packages (Accordion file folder, spiral/steno notebook, journal, pocket calendar, calculator, envelopes and stamps, pen and pencil)
  • School supplies (backpacks, pencils, markers, crayons, notebooks, art supplies, etc)
  • Holiday gifts (consider “adopting” a family that may not be able to afford gifts)
  • Misc (adult and child winter clothing, appointment books, journals, etc)

Safe House needs:

  • New bedding (full size sheets, pillow cases, blankets, full or twin comforters, quilts, pillows)
  • Children's books (ages 0-17)
  • Educational toys
  • Board games
  • Kitchen utensils (pots and pans, bakeware, casserole dishes, tupperware, measuring cups, utensils of all kinds)
  • Towels, washcloths, bathmats. 

Program Center donations are also appreciated:

  • White noise sound machines
  • An iPod
  • New art supplies (coloring books, crayons, stickers, etc)
  • Office equipment and supplies (technology included!)
  • Books for our library and community outreach (see our Amazon.com wishlist!)
  • Yoga mats
  • Manure/mulch for our lawn
  • Bookshelves
 (Due to minimal storage space, WISE may not be able to accept all donations, please know that items donated to LISTEN often benefit our clients through our collaboration)
 
 
The mission of WISE is to empower victims of domestic and sexual violence and stalking to become safe and self-reliant through crisis intervention and support services. WISE advances social justice through community education, training and public policy.

WISE provides services to victims/survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking regardless of gender or gender identity/expression, age, health status (including HIV-positive), physical, mental or emotional ability, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, race, national origin, immigration status, or religious or political affiliation.
