WISE clients and their families often need items to help them cover the daily necessities of life. While WISE does not have sufficient space for large items or clothing, we do have the WISE Closet where clients can privately browse and gather together toiletry items in an effort to normalize life as much as possible. WISE gratefully accepts donations of new items from the list below to keep our closet stocked and our clients supplied (WISE cannot accept used toys, clothing or household goods, but items donated to LISTEN often benefit our clients through our collaboration with the organization).

Suggestions of items for the WISE Closet:

  • Gift cards (grocery, phone, gas, department store, etc)
  • Non-perishable food (instant meals, canned, dried, etc)
  • Full sized, new toiletry items (hair products, deodorant, feminine products, lotion, diapers, toothpaste & brushes)
  • Household items (paper products, detergent, towels, etc)
  • Organizing Packages (Accordion file folder, spiral/steno notebook, journal, pocket calendar, calculator, envelopes and stamps, pen and pencil)
  • School supplies (backpacks, pencils, markers, crayons, notebooks, art supplies, etc)
  • Holiday gifts (consider “adopting” a family that may not be able to afford gifts)
  • Misc (adult and child winter clothing, appointment books, journals, etc)

Program Center donations are also appreciated:

  • White noise sound machines
  • An iPod and speakers
  • New art supplies (coloring books, crayons, stickers, etc)
  • Office equipment and supplies (technology included!)
  • Books for our library and community outreach (see our Amazon.com wishlist!)
  • Yoga mats
  • Manure/mulch for our lawn
  • Bookshelves

Please contact Alicia if you or your organization would like to plan an items drive to benefit WISE clients!
